Description

An introduction to git for Creatives. If you've ever had issues with documents piling up, ending up with crazy names or losing some changes, this is for you.

Git is a core tool of the Software Development toolchain but there are a lot of people out there (including creatives) who would benefit from using git and understanding some of the methodologies around it.

This course takes the user from a complete beginner to a knowledgeable git user.

The walkthroughs demonstrate the use of git at a UNIX command line and on the GitHub website.

- For Mac users the Terminal app should work.

- For Windows there are ways to install git-shell

- For everyone: if you're struggling you can use an online shell by following this tutorial: https://medium.com/@hugo__df/using-glitch-as-a-unix-command-line-playground-8e5cbdc9a8d5.
