All SBinK uploads are software encoded 10-bit x265 HEVC to promote high quality with compression. These files are typically superior to x264, or "hardware accelerated" h265/HEVC files. While these files may be marginally larger than alternatives, we strive to upload content that is closest to the source disc content while maintaining a bitrate of a streaming service, saving valuable disk space and bandwidth.
