In the early sixties, The Big Three were one of the Beatles' main competitors in Liverpool. One of the founders of The Big Three, John Gustafson, is considered the second bassist to come from Liverpool after Paul McCartney. This trio, naturally, also did not escape the greedy tentacles of Brian Epstein. But despite such influential management, The Big Three released only four singles: "Some Other Guy" / "Let True Love Begin" in March 1963, "By The Way" / "Cavern Stomp" and "I'm With You" / "Peanut Butter" in June and October of the same year. The single "If You Ever Change Your Mind" / "You've Got To Keep Her Under Hand" was released in June '64. Some of them even made it into the Top 40. The band actively tours the UK. Drummer Johnny Hutchinson helped The Beatles at concerts more than once (before Ringo Starr joined their ranks). In July 1964, Decca released the live album "At The Cavern". This was the end of the short history of The Big Three. Gustafson moved to The Merseybeats. Johnny Hutchinson, who became the main one in the trio, changed the composition several times, but this still did not save the group.
